PENN STATE STUDENTS, FACULTY AND ALUMNI ENCOURAGE THE UNIVERSITY TO GO CAGE-FREE! Over 10,000 Penn State students and faculty, and alumni have signed the petition calling on Penn State Dining to switch to using only cage-free eggs in its dining halls. To our knowledge, this is the largest petition ever compiled in the history of Penn State University! To view the petition, and read comments from hundreds of Penn State students and faculty, click here. In addition to the petition, ten Pen State student organizations have submitted letters to Dining Services and the Penn State administration officially endorsing a switch to cage-free eggs. These student organizations represent the environmental, animal welfare, food security, and labor issue groups on campus.
